Unlabelled box - I'm slowly going through stacks of unlabelled randomly wired together boxes in my dads shack; this looks like a simple 12v PSU for the other random boxes. Though there's an SCR and relay(?) in there - so I suspect that's something like a startup-delay on the output.
(There's also unregulated ~18v AC, and 24v DC on an 8 pin)

If your parents had never met, you would have never been born. If your grandparents had never met, you would have never been born. If your great-grandparents had never met, you would have never been born & so on & so forth.

As we look further back, we can see (in the fossil record) that if "X" hadn't happened, you nor I would ever have been.

It's easy to take for granted what is - because we are born & don't know how we came to be. Until that is, we study the evidence

🦶🔫 Inheritence is a footgun that Go doesn't support.

I have come to love that Go does not support inheritence. While initially confusing for me, I now appreciate the simplicity this enforces.

🦆 The amazing power of Duck Typing in Go 🦆🦆🦆

Go handles interfaces through what's colloquially called "Duck Typing". If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must implement your interface!

It’s not categorically impossible for someone to earn a net worth in excess of $1B USD, but it is not the norm among wealthy people, and it is usually limited to people who have extraordinary talents who have managed to invent a product or create a work of art that finds mass appeal.

Most are not these people. Most “self-made” billionaires acquire their crucial initial stake via , and leverage that with

"There is widespread belief across the social sciences in the ability of social interventions and social institutions to significantly influence rates of social mobility. In England, there has been considerable change in social institutions across time. The paper shows that these interventions did not change in any measurable way the strong familial persistence of social status across generations"

^^would add that in Rust, is often preferred over as a way to share behavior + data between classes. Rust supports composition through the use of traits, which are similar to interfaces in Java or C#. Traits define a set of methods that a type must implement in order to be used in a particular way. A type can implement multiple traits, allowing it to be used in multiple contexts. Overall, each paradigm has several pros and cons: avivcarmi.com/the-tragic-death

in is like in .

It sounds like a good idea at first, but it often causes more problems than it solves.

Inheritance in leads to brittle hierarchies that are risky to change and hard to understand.

The CSS leads to the same problems.

I have today got to a certain point (I can't say finished, no biography is ever finished)!with my second notable in . Like my first, he was someone I'm not related to. Unlike my first Notable - John Alcock, first pilot to cross the Atlantic - who came from a modest background, Colonel Edward Akroyd MPwas a wool magnate, and one of theGreat&theGood. How much documentation such people generate!!!

If you are an adult who is making a living and has $ and assets in a bank, real estate, stocks and otherwise, EVERYONE regardless of age (but especially those who are married and have children), "should" have a WILL, a Durable Power for Health Care and a Durable Power of Attorney for Finances.

I'm 72 and have had these since I was 50 and, even then, it was too late and should have had them drafted/executed earlier.
