It is really disappointing how broken the peer review system is for manuscripts and grants in the US.

The peer-review, science funding systems have been in need of serious reform for decades.

We need more cooperation and collaboration rather than an ever worsening toxic academic culture.

Big pharma can collaborate, cooperate more with academia due to much innovation & talent there.

This includes addressing health inequities by providing approved drugs such as Ibrance for clinical trials when patients can’t afford to buy them.
