@HistoPol We can't deny that in Canada - there's a us & them divide. Mainly because colonizers don't want to accept or be accountable for ugly truths in past or present. To bridge divides - owning #injustices are a key component. Proper reparations are necessary too. You can't bridge anything that came out of colonial genocidal actions, without fully acknowledging it happened & is still happening on a more covert level. There's no real reconciliation, without truths, first & foremost.
