We had a good time in #Ely the last couple of days - the weather was dry, but the wind was bitter on Tuesday.
This is a #sketch of the #cathedral from the side. We couldn't justify the cost of the entry fee to go inside.
Ely has as much character as #York, but without the crowds.

The two main #DreamsOfAmarna panels were to have a second layer, gauze screen printed with the heads of #Akhenaten and #Nefertiti. I'm experimenting here with crosshatching using #Inktense blocks instead. I've been told water makes permanent, so my experimental Akhenaten is now drying in the bath!

A small #painting I did may years ago using #Derwent #Inktense. Didn't really have a plan in mind when I started it, but I wanted to show what a futuristic city might look like if it collapsed into ruin after some apocalyptic event. I was quite pleased with how it turned out.

Had a lovely time (also very warm and humid) sketching this wet sclerophyll forest scene yesterday at Rankin's Paddock, Binna Burra.
The trees with the reddish bark are Brush Box (Lophostemon confertus) while the pale ones are most probably Flooded Gums (Eucalyptus grandis). I say 'most probably' as they are very similar to E. saligna (Sydney Blue Gum) from a distance. And because the undergrowth was thick and shrubby (and no doubt alive with leeches, ticks, and stinging trees), I wasn't inclined to have a closer look 😁

Haddon Hall near Bakewell has wonderful leaded windows with panes set at angles. These Bombee Windows draw more light into the room than flat panes.

For my sanity, I took one of my sunflower test prints and colored it with ink watercolors earlier this week during a meeting. I find doodling helps me concentrate.
Pixie's opinion: it's great for sitting on.
