Husband requested a painting of Bast to use as a profile picture for the latest iteration of his IRC bot, who has moved to Discord along with just about everyone else. Painting the carved textures was a good challenge.

A week ago, I scheduled this piece for today's post. Yesterday, a friend passed away, quite unexpectedly. As I'm sorting through emotions and talking with the friendsgroup to figure out how we're going to help, the quote seems like exactly the advice I needed to give myself today. I like almost everything about the Pixel 7, but its inability to take clear "scans" of paper with art or writing is very frustrating. The edges come out all smeared-looking. :blobartist:
I'm going to have to come up with a better way of getting my art from paper to screen :/ The scanner doesn't do well with sketchbooks that have wires or that don't open all the way.
