Swapping out my #Inkvent pinned column for #FountainPen. Feels a bit like the turning of the seasons.

Last #inkvent! Thanks and “Best Wishes” to all of you who graciously followed my journey of 25 days of drawing, doodles, swatches, dabs and little facts along the way. Now I have a whole bunch of ink - no idea what to do with next. 😁

Next to the last #inkvent! Day 24, “One More Sleep.” Got a faded denim feel to it, so what better theme for the ink. With my LeBoeuf Vintage Select #fountainpen. Will I do my last inkvent before the clock strikes midnight (or more likely much earlier when I go to bed)? Who knows!

2022's #inkvent swatches, collected. A good year! I don't really use shimmer inks, which is a shame as that's where this collection shone. I however did immediately ink up Dusted Truffle, which was new and unique for me, as was Alpine. Big fan of more muted colors with shimmer on top (Colorverse Antimatter Glistening being an all-time fave.)

I finished up #Inkvent yesterday (delayed while we were out of town for a few days). It started to feel like a slog around day 21 or 22, so the little break was good.

Over all my big take-away is that I need more dark inks with shimmer in them. Those dark moody colors that aren't quite black, with a little sparkle are super fun.

What better way to kick off time off than with an #inkvent doodle of “Celebration” (Day 23). A but rubbish for writing, but pleasant for drawing or liberal dabs. With my Lamy Safari (B) #fountainpen.

Last #inkvent of the night. Day 22, a shimmering violet “Deck the Halls.” Stuff about violet, then! All with my Monteverde Ritma (Omniflex) #fountainpen

And we come to the end of Inkvent! Best Wishes is a stunner - a piney green ink with green and gold shimmer and a distinct red sheen. Possibly the most "Christmas" of any ink I own, this one is gorgeous in the swatch, and even manages to sheen in the writing, though the shimmer shows up best where there's a LOT of ink.

Today's ink is Best wishes, a chameleon shimmer ink with strong red sheen. The ink is green, maybe expected after red and blue. The chameleon shimmer is green to greyish blue, again hard to make it come out. The ink gets cyan chromatography in water.
