Dr William Bateson, out of Connecticut - by way of Leipzig. Bateson is a biologist and geneticist, his experiments are largely secret, but strange sounds can be heard from his lab by the wharf, and it’s known he pays the less reputable fisherfolk for anything ‘unusual’ they find in their nets. Bateson can often be seen wandering the streets of Innsmouth early in the mornings, dressed in a flight suit he acquired from a barnstorming pilot in Idaho.

George Bradley, originally from Whitley Bay. George came to Innsmouth by way of Fleet Street and now runs the only weekly source of printed news in town. The Ammonite is a gazette, part news, part gossip, items for sale, services available. Printed on a paper derived from kelp, the Ammonite is a pale sickly yellow in colour - giving it the nickname The Fluke Puke.
