I've been continuing to listen to one Matthew Sweet album each day in release order. Listening to In Reverse today has been such a wonderful experience. The Wall of Sound production makes these songs sound so rich, with highlights like "What Matters" and the closing "Thunderstorm". The cover painting by Margaret Keane is a perfect fit.
