Not really. This is a beetle display from Montreal’s fabulous Insectarium.
The insectarium is part of a nature-lover’s complex that includes the historic Jardin Botanique (Botanical Gardens) as well as the Biome, Biosphere and Planetarium.
Excuse the slightly blurry picture taken en passant while shepherding 30 rambunctious 10 year olds through the museum 😉

Seriously, the first (and only) time I went to the #Insectarium, it wasn’t even the Insectarium yet, just a special exhibit at the botanical garden.

Had nightmares for days.

It’s been over 30 years but you still won’t catch me there again!

One of my favourite display cases in the new #Insectarium of #Montréal . The #beetles are so beautiful!
It took countless hours by the #entomology technicians to pin the specimens and to create this masterpiece. The other display cases are just as impressive :)

@Sheril So true, thank you! We are fortunate to have an amazing #insectarium and soon to be #butterflyhouse in #missoula where we can visit with and learn about so many amazing insects and some arachnids too!
