Veins in plants. They make such pretty patterns when they contrast. First is #Sarracenia purpurea grown from seed and after years of slow & steady growth, putting out something close to full sized leaves.
The other is a #nasturtium leaf on the way out, also grown from seed, dropped by last year’s plants.

Lots of nice new growth on the sarracenias just now. In the first picture you can see the downward pointing hairs that encourage the insect to walk down into the pit fall trap.

I just learned the #savageGarden hashtag, but also look at #CarnivorousPlants #sarracenia #InsectivorousPlants and another one I sometimes see is #BogPlants
So after that hashtag assortment I feel duty bound to post a picture so no one feels cheated.
