Langsam neigt sich die Schmetterlingssaison dem Ende zu. Am Wochenende habe ich nochmal einige Weißlinge und Bläulinge gesehen, aber deen Bolder sind noch nicht auf dem Rechner gelandet. Stattdessen habe ich hier einen Kleinen Perlmuttfalter von Anfang August.

Diesmal ein Admiral, den ich auf einem Waldweg sitzend entdeckt habe. Er hat sich von mir kaum stören lassen, nur die Radfahrer haben dafür gesorgt, dass er auffliegt und die Position ändert.

Der Schachbrettfalter, machmal auch Damenbrett genannt, fliegt bis etwa Ende August. Das Schachbrett war 2019 der Schmetterling des Jahres.

Heute mit zwei beim Nestbau.

Man bezeichnet die Feldwespe auch als Papierwespe, da sie ihr Nest aus einem pergamentähnlichem Material aus Holz und Pflanzenfasern baut.

Letzte Woche hatte ich bereits geschrieben, dass mir, nach längerer Durststrecke, auf einmal zahlreiche Schmetterlinge begegnet sind. Dabei war auch eine ganze Gruppe von Schachbrettfaltern, von denen ich hier einen zeige.
