Last night’s strong winds brought down some branches and I’m still seeing evidence of the 2021 periodical cicada emergence on small ones. These zippered slits occurred when female cicadas deposited their eggs there in May-June 2021. The Brood X cicadas won’t return until 2038.

Common grass yellow (Eurema hecabe) .

Found on Manila Tamarind (Pithecellobium dulcean), an introduced, yet naturalised species of tree which is a hit with local .

Wenn ihr einen Garten habt dann tut mir den Gefallen und hört auf den Rasen zu mähen, macht maximal einen dünnen Weg durch um die Natur die zurückkommt zu genießen. So tut ihr Schmetterlingen und Bienen einen wirklich großen Gefallen und nutzt gleichzeitig die Fläche für etwas vernünftiges 😄
