I have open an account on pixelfed.social and have imported photos from my Instagram account. Like many here, I am keen to move away from Meta but didn't really want to lose my photos. Vanity I suppose. Anyway, because pixelfed is part of the Fediverse you can follow me @Tinshed (just enter that in the Mastodon search bar, press enter, then the person icon), or simply browse the link below.

Just fired up my own @pixelfed instance. It seems the instagram import feature is different than what is on https://pixelfed.social 🤔? (Same version, v0.11.8) #pixelfed #pixelfedadmin #instagramImport

The new Instagram Import feature from @pixelfed is really great! I’ve been able to bring in a lot of old pictures and it’s reminded me of how much I enjoyed taking them. You can see my results here, but I have a lot more to import:
