They continue to promote a widespread attack of #transgender individuals labeling them antisemitic in an effort to justify their #transphobia. Many people have contacted me about this situation and to date none of the Admins from mastodon.art have done anything to stop it.

This is sad as it is one of my daughter’s favorite instances as a graphic designer. 1/2

We have decided to block misskey.io for allowing CP and abuse of the LGBTQIA community.

It appears that repeated attempts to get the admins to remove the CP and queerphobic content has been largely unsuccessful. While we hate to have to block instances, we believe that doing so will build a safer place for everyone.

Heard that #Wildebeest, an #ActivityPub implementation from @cloudflare doesn't have block API yet. Could this be an opportunity to #InstanceBlock (defederate) differently?

Suppose admin's block list applied to local + federated timelines, but optional for home timeline.

To local users that opted-in, it's a defederation that protects them.

To those that opted out, they can still see content from blocked instances and interact with its users, or block on personal level.

A ton of red flags here, but only came to our attention since the admin of that instance (which federates with all of the terrible ones like poa.st, nicecrew.digital, fedi.intkos.link, seal.cafe, chudbuds.lol, etc) sent violent imagery, suicide suggestion, and transphobia.
