#instancehopping can get annoying just like #distrohopping but it is helpful for people to find their home in the fediverse and linux (respectively).
#instancehopping #distrohopping
On the #fediverse, being on a smaller, less broadly connected instance makes it less likely to discover interesting accounts to follow, even though I actively read my local timeline and follow a lot of hashtags.
Is #instanceHopping already a thing? Switching instance from time to time in order to discover new people on the way.
Or is Mastodon’s migration process still too lossy?
I think I'm not done #instancehopping yet. How do I know I'm happy using this account if I haven't even tried any of the instances with a cute name nor any of those with a .gay domain? Maybe I'll move again. (I should set up my own instance already.)
