@dottorblaster I had been using #FreeBSD :freebsd_logo: c 2000 on a Dell & ThinkPad X|T series laptops. Currently running in a VM on Windows 10 on X260; directly installed on a Framework c 2021 laptop & Intel i5-10*/ASUS motherboard desktop.
- Use #ZFS (VM or otherwise; ECC RAM or not).
- Use Intel NICs at least for 1 Gb/s ones.
- For WiFi connection via #Intel_AX210/Framework, I use Alpine VM in #bhyve via #wifibox package (in early 2022 it was stable & faster than native port of "iwlwifi")
#freebsd #zfs #bhyve #wifibox #intel_ax210
4/n
Does anyone have the experience of using #Intel_AX200 or #Intel_AX210 #WiFi card with #FreeBSD in a #Protectli machine ("FW6Br2" in my case)?
(I have used both native & Linux (via "wifibox" port via VM) versions of "iwlwifi" driver with Intel AX210 card in a laptop.)

/Re: Cheap Wireless USB Adapter: RTL8188EU, RTL8821AU or something else?/
#iwlwifi driver ported from Linux to #FreeBSD (https://wiki.freebsd.org/WiFi/Iwlwifi ) works, at least, for #Intel_AX210 (in Framework laptop).
I have been using "#wifibox" port/package[0,1,2] -- uses Alpine VM to provide a network connection -- as it had been more reliable & its connection faster.
I have tested & used both only on FreeBSD-CURRENT 14.
