Project Stargate wasn't just one of those weird 1950s things...it kept going until the mid-90s. Here's a request related to the first War.

Y'all do know you can see the files from their research, right?

This image is from one of their remote viewing experiments

@DianaBolsinger That's very kind of you.

I must say that second book would be immensely valuable! Good grief. I'm intellectually salivating already.

(Not that the first book wouldn't be interesting, but I knew about it already.)

Regarding my perspective, if your introduction needs a page on pre-WWII US liaison, I might have a thought or two. Ping me anytime.

@DianaBolsinger Yes! Extraordinarily forthcoming about liaison with Mexico. There’s a couple interesting tidbits about liaison with the Dutch service too.

Is anyone aware of any occasions on which shot down an American U-2? Have they ever done it with a fighter plane? I know they shot down some U-2s flown by pilots from Taiwan. I'm also aware of this article but there are a number of problems with it. upi.com/Archives/1987/11/18/Ch

“On Jan. 24, 1978, a Soviet nuclear satellite called Kosmos 954 re-entered the Earth's atmosphere and exploded over northern Canada…A joint Canadian-American recovery team spent most of the year searching a 124,000 km/sq area. That recovery effort was known as Operation Morning Light.”

New podcast sounds really interesting! The CBC really punches above their weight…they’ve put together some excellent shows.

I think what really makes me excited to tackle the second book project are the things I only notice because of the first. For example, here is Matthew Quester, Postmaster of the English Foreign Posts (about whom I have seen very few documents in England) testifying in a Venetian treason case 🤩

I feel like there should be an hashtag. @ABateman @stevenbwagner Are there other intelligence historians out there at the moment?
