System76 Open Firmware update disables Intel Management Engine on most of the company's Linux laptops. Background: Intel ME ist die Mangement Engine (zusätzlicher Prozessor und mehr), die selbst, wenn der Rechner ausgeschaltet ist, noch Zugriff von aussen erlaubt.
