Weirdly, I had perhaps the same issue with an e-transfer this week; I couldn't it into my credit union account. I thought it was that they'd failed to test their in-house online banking against (which I run into a lot... feeling like 1998 again), but I also noticed 3rd-party being .

I wonder if /#financial online sites loading Google/Facebook/whatever analytics violates ?

Fascinating observation with is that there is only a single set of password.

If someone sends payment 1 with a security question A, and they send payment 2 with security question B (before payment 1 is accepted), payment 1 and payment 2 will share the same security question. So this essentially reverse the first question/password

Phishing question. Canadians who have used Interac. You know the email you sometimes get directing you to a financial institution. I just noticed it uses a clck dot ru link and I got very suspicious!? Legit?

None of the phishing pages were active when we tried to visit them. Strangely enough, while the AWS sites simply reported that the phishing pages had been taken down, the that referenced and linked through shortlink services all landed on pages written in , the alphabet of the language.
One link caused the browser to redirect itself to a page written in Korean and hosted on the website belonging to the parent organization of the Jehovah's Witnesses, for example. There's no indication anything malicious was ever hosted on that site. All the sites that landed on pages in Korean came from messages that referenced specifically. 5/9

Another version of the campaign included references in the subject and body to , a payments mechanism that most Canadian banks support for transactions between individuals or businesses. These messages, rather than linking directly to pages hosted in Amazon AWS, linked to a variety of different websites, including a variety of shortlink and marketing websites. The messages also had small but distinctive grammatical errors (possibly indicating they were written by a non-native English speaker). 4/9

So further enshitification (@doctorow) via forced usage by governments.

(owned by rogers) bought verified.me and I have to agree to (among other things) that any misuse of my credentials is my responsibility entirely, with no exceptions interac.ca/en/legal/#interac-s and yes, I have to use Interact/verified.me because the Canadian Government forces it, and I have to interact with the Canadian Government.
