Last week at #Villach 🇦🇹 Hbf: #InterCity train #211 to #Vinkovci 🇭🇷 via #Ljubljana 🇸🇮 and #Zagreb 🇭🇷. Some carriages have got opening windows and come with cosy compartments and comfy seats. A few years back, this train, named “Sava”, included through cars from #Munich 🇩🇪 to #Belgrade 🇷🇸.

La #Chaux-de-Fonds🇨🇭to #Bern on a #BLS regional express service in June 2018: the push-pull trainset is in full “#Kambly livery” - a popular cookie brand in Switzerland. The cars are of the “EW III” type, originally built for the cross-country #SwissExpress in the 1970s - the best domestic #Intercity trains back then: they came with air condition even for passengers is 2nd class.

W weekendy PolRegio uruchamia dodatkowy pociąg "ORKAN", które jedzie 4 h 20 min (!), a bilet kosztuje 46,20 PLN. Sztuczka polega na tym, że pomija #Szczecin Główny.

Regular #PolRegio trains take roughly 5 hours and 30 minutes, and cost 46,40 PLN.

The fastest #PKP #InterCity trains take roughly 5 hours (slower: 5 h 40 min) and cost 49,70 PLN (2nd class).

However, on weekends there's an extra PolRegio "ORKAN" train that takes 4 hours and 20 minutes (!), and costs 46,20 PLN. The trick is to skip #Szczecin Główny.

Auf dem Nachhauseweg vom #MoersFestival2023. Der #Intercity hat Strom und #WLAN und ist schön leise und ich bin überrascht, wie vergleichsweise leer das Fediverse zum Hashtag #Moersfestival ist – dieses Jahr auch angesichts des #Klimawandel unter dem Motto „Mut und Demut“.

Festival hatte den Schwerpunkt auf György #Ligeti gelegt – ein #Komponist der Neuen #Musik, der just zu Pfingsten 100 Jahre alt geworden wäre. Die meisten mindestens Halbintellektuellen kennen ein Werk von ihm: „Lux aeterna“, das Chorstück, das immer erklingt, wenn im Film „2001: Odyssee im Weltraum“ der #Monolith auftaucht.

Hier ein Schnappschuss der Aufführung von Ligetis „Poém symphonique“, ein Stück für 100 Metronome.

Ansonsten wurde natürlich auch viel improvisiert und Musik gemacht, die den meisten Bundesbürgern nicht mehr als Musik gelten dürfte.

Überaus erfreut war ich, dass auch ich im Rahmen einer offenen Session eine der Bühne entern und mittels E-Bass im spontan gebildeten Kollektiv die Welt akustisch ankratzen durfte.
