Del Shannon - Gemini
Del Shannon made a few rather good late period soft-psyche records.

Tara King Th. - Long Time No See
A band that got uncannily close to sounding like Broadcast or Elephants Memory which was no bad thing.

Stump - Buffalo
A short lived Irish band of genius. Mick Lynch was part rubber band and part Tintin. The music remains unique. Kev Hopper is still out there somewhere pinching harmonics on a fretless bass. Mick Lynch is sadly RIP.

Soft Hearted Scientists - Shiver Me Timbers
Offering that very English psychedelia inhabited by the likes of XTC or Martin Newell and similarly destined for cult obscurity even if they do make consistently great records.

Improvisation & Avaz in Bayat-e Zand (Golha-yi Rangarang #290) (feat. Abdolvahab Shahidi)
Persian/Iranian tuned piano with quarter tones.
Morteza Mahjubi (1900 – 21 March 1965) was an Iranian pianist and composer. He was a piano soloist for the Golha radio programme.
Mahjubi's performance style was improvisational and he tuned the piano specially to play the quarter tone scales of Persian music.

Reigning Sound "Drowning" (Live at Goner Records, 2005)

Nearly broke the elliptical machine at the gym with this one today. It feels good to be recovering from my hospital stay.
Play it like you mean it. Play so hard your guitar goes out of tune. Scream until you have nothing left. Keep breathing kids.

Ilona Balina - Dudievins (Imants Kalnins composition)
https://youtu.be/JNrFXn2o3ms
A beautiful Latvian tune by Kalnins which has long been a favourite of mine with this really haunted black and white clip too.

Soul Lam Plearn - Petch Phin Thong Band
Thai Molam. The three stringed instrument is an electric Phin (I ended up buying a couple after getting hooked on Molam). Around 2016 my band Ocelot used to have a go at some Molam in our sets. One of those instruments where you hit echoplex and fuzz and just go for your life!

Pete Drake & his Talkbox
Hard to imagine how strange this must have sounded in 1964, let alone now.

Put some of Ocelot's old stuff on to Funkwhale.
This is the archived stuff of oddities.

Connie Converse - Father Neptune
https://youtu.be/1a13Ldthmv4
One of the first singer songwriters in the modern sense. Dissapeared without trace in 1974 aged 50. The songs she left behind were extraordinary but largely unheard until discovered and compiled in the last few decades.
Christopher Guest - Positively Wall Street

Mo-Dettes - White Mice

Short lived all woman punk band from 1980.
Jane Crockford wrote most of the catchy songs including this gem. She was an awesome bass player too.

Primal rock and roll from an elderly lady in a ballgown. She was PUNK before punk was invented.

This just gets better and better as the years pass. One of the best bands from that time. Give it some volume!
