For me, it could be a long couple of days without internet as my modem is really messed up and a technician won't be here until Friday. I'm going to try and get a new one from the Spectrum place today if possible and hope that helps.

for everyone who has any model of Surface Laptops and suddenly you lose wifi connection... just reinstall from the official page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/download-drivers-and-firmware-for-surface-09bb2e09-2a4b-cb69-0951-078a7739e120#bkmk_update-automatically_1 all drivers to have internet connection again, obviously helped by other device, cause those modern laptops don't have ethernet port... and vualá! problem solved!
