So while looking for Summer 2024 #internship , I just wanted to rant about my previous experience.

I was approached by a famous #RISCV startup in Feb. They saw my #gsoc work and were interested in having me intern and possibly do remote work even after summer. After the interviews, I was offered a position. However, the compensation (~$780/month for on-site) was significantly less than online reviews led me to believe and so ended up rejecting it in favor of #gsoc23

Is this common?

Its been four months since I became a product design intern - and I've learnt so much. Made me realize how important internships are. Besides finding out how things are done in the industry, it also made me realize I prefer being a product designer over a researcher.

Although I'm still nervous and unsure on whether I'm competent enough to be a product designer, I'm sure my skills will improve by the end of my internship :)
