#InterVarsity as an organization is problematic as h*ll, but one thing the Urbana conference gave me that I never got any other place in evangelicalism was the chance to listen to religious leaders who were not white & North American.

One key moment in my own personal deconstruction was hearing a leader (I think from Africa? I don’t remember 😔) say from the pulpit that he and his church wondered if, in accepting white evangelical theology, “we are drinking from a poisoned cup.” #exvangelical
