I’m curious, what’s you Myers Briggs personality type (#MBTI)?

I’m an #INTJ (Introverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging) and actually fit the stereotype fairly well.

(Yes, I know MBTI has been somewhat discredited and never was scientifically meaningful, but I’m asking because it sometimes makes for a good discussion. )

Something I don't understand about Guardians of the Galaxy 3 - why does the High Evolutionary's ship blow up? It takes one rocket from the Knowhere head/base/thing and, what, one of Star Lord's small ships exploding in a docking bay, and the whole ship starts blowing up? Makes no sense.

At the end of Terminator 2, what the heck happened to Sarah Connor & John? They're still wanted by the police for blowing up Cyberdine systems, assaulting numerous people including hundreds of cops, possibly murdering Miles Dyson, and probably ramming a truck full of liquid nitrogen into a steel mill. Yeah, it's great they stopped the robot apocalypse and all, but would Sarah be spending the rest of her days in prison or back in the insane asylum?

At home on the couch with 14yo, both of us blah, 6 days into Covid.

Natch we're doing a quick-and-dirty Myers Briggs Internet test together.

They came up as an INFP. Neither of us were convinced by that. Based just reading type descriptions, they reckon they might actually be an INFJ. I reckon that's in the ballpark

I told them I'm an INTJ - they read the description and nodded ruefully.

Yup. They know their parent.

I'm struggling to get a conceptual grasp of introverted feeling, or Fi. This makes sense, as it's my polarity function, the most alien means of evaluating the world to me.

I'm curious about the high Fi users and what their experience is like. So #INFP, #ENFP, #ESFP, and #ISFP, and to a lessor extent, the #ISTJ and #INTJ.

I don't evaluate information against my own values. I don't even have a good grasp on what my personal values are. This is different than principles, at least in this vernacular. Values are what feels true, principles are what you think to be correct.

Anyway, I'd love any insight on the #Fi experience.

I don't take the #MyersBriggs test very seriously because it's only pseudoscience, but I've changed from #INTJ to #ENTP. No idea how that happened. I guess I've come out of my shell?

@allisonwyss And I do get all of that. Every writer has a POV. I was simply expressing my own personal preference for writers who explore the realm of "what if" in vivid, imaginative, & open-ended ways. The multiverse concept touches on this. Like a lot of speculative fiction writers/readers, I enjoy exploring the possibilities of what could be. I'm much more receptive to ideas when they're not force-fed to me. I want less dogma & more exploration of ideas & possibilities.

--#Introvert, mostly, although I'm technically an #ambivert who leans more heavily toward #introversion these days. (That's a whole other story in & of itself.🤣) Since ANTJ doesn't yet appear as an accepted #MBTI term, that's why I put #INTJ on my profile. It's complicated. In any case, my closest friends are all #introverts. From all the #neuroscience literature that I've read, I'm convinced #personality is more dynamic than ppl think.
