Lesson learned: If you have a large inverter you need some way to pre-charge the capacitors before connecting LiFePO4 batteries so that the BMS doesn’t shut the battery down due to inverter inrush current. My temporary solution is to use an AGM battery to charge the caps before shutting the battery disconnect. Permanent solution will be installing a current surge limiter. #lifepo4 #inverters #rvlife

Is there a group or hashtag specifically for people using #solar power to power musical equipment?

There are specific challenges. Mostly that #inverters are horrid tech that often have some combo of noisy fans, 50/60hz EMI , HF switching EMI, acoustic vibration etc etc.

So if anyone out there is powering #music gear from solar with an inverter, what is your experience?

I realise that the best solution is simply to put the inverter far away from the music area, but this isn't always easy.
