This book starts with a stolen baby. The characters assume she will be lost until rescued as an adult, and are working to fix this on behalf of the distraught mother.

I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time trying to identify a Grimm tale with a character lost as a baby and rescued as a young adult. And researching it, and re-reading the less popular ones, and just generally wracking my brains because I KNOW it exists.

And…

It’s Rapunzel. It’s Rapunzel, isn’t it?

I slapped myself so hard in the forehead when I realised.

Any other fairytale examples of longlost babies, either gender, returning as young adults would be gratefully received - Grimm versions appreciated but not compulsory.
