📷 I found a couple of #Iomega zip disks I used to store scanned negs in 2003-4, but the player is long gone. Would *love to see the pictures (hundreds probably), but a Zip Drive (used) is at least $120 delivered. Can't. FML.

I was having issues installing an OS on this SunBlade 1000. I wasn’t sure if it was an issue with thr Fibre Channel controller or drive, so I attempted to install the OS onto the Jaz drive.
Ultimately it appeared to be an issue with the memory. After yanking a bunch of sticks, it was ok.

Looking through my favourites in my photo album.
My Sun Ultra 24 with that gorgeous #SunMicrosystems bootsplash and 3 #Iomega Jazz drives hooked up.
I’ve since replaced the guts of that system, so no more Sun bootsplash, sadly.

After using floppy drives, Iomega Zip drives were excellent holding 100MB of storage each.
Then along came other media with more capacity.
I had disks with data but no working drive, until a friend sent me his USB Zip 100, which truly was Plug & Play in Linux.
