So... Apparently #electrical resistance is a funny thing. When I first hooked up the new iron electrodes, before running any current through them, my multimeter read 1k ohms. After running current for a minute it had dropped to 110 Ohms. And now after ~45 minutes it's reading no resistance whatsoever.

I'm guessing that whatever technique this multimeter uses for measuring resistance is simply broken by this setup. Maybe the electrodes are surrounded by #ions or something?
