I got a wee Bluetooth gaming controller for my #iPadMini in anticipation of a trip coming up. I really haven’t done any #iOSGaming / #iPadOSGaming, like, ever, especially with a controller. Anyone have any recommendations? No 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or beyond shooter games.

Desperately seeking: a decent #trackpad for my #iPadMini (6th Gen). The Apple Magic Trackpad is _excellent_ but simply far too large.

I’ve tried several different trackpads and keyboards-with-trackpads and most of them are absolute garbage in comparison. Either the gesture support is minimal/non-existent or the feel is just wrong.

The sole exception is the trackpad on the keyboard case Logitech makes for larger iPads. It’s actually pretty good and supports nearly/¿all? gestures.

#continuity feature request for #apple...turning the #iPad into a magic #trackpad. The #iPadMini would be perfect for it. All they'd need to do is add the amazing vibration motor and it'd basically mimic the trackpad.

The only real disadvantage of using my #IpadMini to read #Ebooks over an #Ereader is battery life. Having a more responsive colour screen is the biggest advantage. It’s a shame epaper screens haven’t really progressed a lot due to the monopoly held by #Eink #Books #Bookstodon

#Reeder5 also seems to be such a bad investment. On the #iPhone, only an initial sync rotates for hours and nothing else happens. No problems on the #iPadMini and #iPadPro as well as #Macbook, but on the iPhone where I read the most it doesn’t work. I've already tried a few things. Deleting the account and reinstalling. Restart of the iPhone etc. Everything doesn't help, it just doesn't work. #RSS #Reader

Ended up going with an #iPadMini to serve primarily as an #ebook reader (choosing it over the #Kindle, #Kobo, or #Boox options).

Love the device (which I've had before, and was unhappy with only because I was trying to make it my ONLY device). But sad that Apple makes only five covers with a very limited range of color options (and no blues). Ordered a third-party cover (with trepidation).

The idea of using a foldable phone appeals to me, primarily because I'd like to have a bigger screen than the one my #Samsung #S21 offers for reading, and still have a smaller form factor to carry.

The big catch seems to be price. I could just buy a smaller tablet like an #iPadMini for much less, and just use two devices.
