What do folks think of Ip Man movies. I watched the first one and truly enjoyed it, but I’ve heard mixed things about rest of movies. I’d love to hear ur thoughts.

Revisited #IpMan last night, because I’m the weirdo that still watches kung fu movies in middle age (I mean, in reality, it’s probably not that weird because most people like those brain check-out movies where the hero’s journey is followed in really obvious ways, just like mythology).

Watched #IpMan

Oh yeah, Donnie Yen doing Kung-Fu and kicking some ass. I liked how he prefered to follow the Way of the Passive Fist at first (only blocking and parrying strikes directed at him), but had to resort to real blows later on.
It's also very...Chinese in its story telling. Like skipping large parts of interesting bits half way by just presenting it in a few boring blocks of text.
