I finally got parts in to repair my #ipodclassic for tomorrow's stream. New battery and cases. Hopefully we can get both of the #ipod repaired or at the least get one fully functioning. Also the HDD cable in case that was the issue on the other one, double-sided tape for device repair from my cell phone repair days and you can catch me on #Twitch around 7PM EST tomorrow. I think what makes the iPod so special for me is that it almost feels alive. The feedback from the HDD makes it feel like something more than just a cold chunk of metal. It responds to input and you can physically feel it in your palm. And because it feels alive, it's easy to think of it as more of a friend than just a music player.

Mine will not be getting flash storage until it becomes absolutely necessary.

So, I dropped my iPod. Appeared fine, but after the song that was playing ended, next one wouldn't load. In fact no song would, so I force restarted the iPod and now it gets stuck on this screen. I REALLY hope the drive (well, memory card technically) simply got disconnected. Will have to open it up to find out though, and that I am NOT looking forward to 🫠 #iPod #iPodClassic
