I am amused with this bit. Context: Ingemund is the 16-year-old groom who rode ahead to meet up with his fiancée the day before the marriage. The "she" mentioned is Iselin, our PoV's grandmother and Wise Woman of the village.

“Your parents are waiting for you.” She told Ingemund before playfully mussing his loose, black hair. He started to object to the treatment but closed his mouth as she cocked an eyebrow. “If you wish to tell me that you are an adult and should be treated as such, I shall need to remind you that you left Tyrgil Svarte and Jorid before sunrise, without a word on where you were going.”

Why is it so hard to just ... *write*? I kind of have half a dozen scenes I want to write in this story, but every time I ... don't want to.

trying to figure out how a newly wed teenage girl would be getting from her grandmother's village to her new husband's village ... in mid 500s AD #IronAgeApocalypse

After some thought (in the middle of the night, because of course that's when this arrives ....) I have a few ideas on what's going to be going on at the all-female pre-wedding party! a :thread:

1) For brides: Finishing up the stitching and embroidery of his wedding shirt, since they might not have had exact measurements before

2) For non-brides: Finishing gifts to the brides, whether fineries or practical stuff
