These are two paintings of #IsaabelRawsthorne by #FrancisBacon. In the triptych of her face, she comes across as a powerful, noble woman. She was, in her own right, a writer, poet, and painter. She was also a muse for both Bacon and #Giacometti. The second painting is a large piece with such strong blues that they impose strength of her, which was appropriate. She stands tall, looking back at chaos, unmoved by it all. I adore these two pieces and also admire that Bacon recognised her worth.
