So we have wired in our yearly payment to #isaca and they can't find the money. I don't have a creditcard anymore since the #fraud on it is worse than I need it. And Isaca doesn't accept PayPal.

@mormaid Ah, got it. Yeah, #ISC2 does qualify the type of courses/seminars/webinars you can attend to qualify for #CPEs towards maintaining the cert. They have a detailed list of what "topics" count, and in what manner. I get it - it's an elite cert that touts a specific skill set in #security. How many CPEs something is worth depends on the length #AFAIK. Sounds like ISC2 does it a bit different, and maybe more restrictively than #ISACA. Thanks for the interesting convo! 😁 👊

@mormaid Looks to me that the base CPE requirements to maintain the cert are the same for both certs: 120 CPE's over 3 years. Difference I see is the annual minimum requirement - #CISSP requires min 40CPEs/yr, and #CISM requires a min 20CPEs/yr. I am in the #ISC2 universe personally, so I know they have a solid community. Not sure about #ISACA TBH. I personally think the ISC2 community and certs are more valuable than ISACA. The CISSP is still the #diamondstandard and any geek's #wetdream cert

@GoblinLucy haha yea, I just bump into random people and make friends, and those relationships grow over time. There were instances when I didn't have any headcount, but one day I had to hire a few people quick, and I was able to turn to my relationships. I've also hired people from the same professional groups I was a member of, like #HTCIA #ISACA, etc.
