This week's #MidweekMuseum recommendation - after a short break - is the Nonsense Museum in Ísafjörður, Iceland. This is a museum dedicated to collections of collections. The pictures here show alcohol miniatures, playing cards, police helmets, shot glasses, Pez dispensers, perfume and testers, but there were also airplane models, pens, cigarette packets, monkeys, spoons, and more. All fascinating and fun nonsense.

My #MidweekMuseum recommendation this week is the best #museum in the world, hands down. This is the Museum of Everyday Life in Ísafjörður, #Iceland. It's a feast for the senses. Touch wool. Look at old photos and read local people's memories of the day. Hold old shoes and listen to Icelanders recall a story about the shoe on old phones. Unscrew jars and smell memory items (school crayons, seaweed, socks, etc.). Small, perfect, just fantastic.

Anyone remember the "3D" crosswalk in #Iceland that was making the rounds in social media several years back? I went to search for it back in 2019 and found it! I was very reluctant to pose on it but it had to be done! Luckily it wasn't on a super busy street. But then again, this "photo shoot" only lasted a couple of seconds. The crosswalk is located in the port town of #Isafjordur in Iceland's beautiful region of #Westfjords. Photo courtesy of the spousal unit.
