#911 was an unquestionable tragedy. What followed was also awful. When people talk about national unity after , they are rewriting history. It was a time filled with and immense hatred. People took their understandable anger and grief and placed blame on those who didn’t deserve it and the government took advantage of our mourning to unjust start wars and restrict freedoms of its own citizens. These results can’t be disentangled from that day.
