It is not often we get days like this on #IsleofBarra. The #snow has stayed and got deeper. Looks like there is plenty in the sky too and some wonderful clouds! Unfortunately I have on online meeting this morning but will definitely be getting out there this afternoon.

We travel by road round Barra to Traigh Mhor, at the start of the island's northern peninsula. This is home to one of the world's most spectacular and most beautiful airports: and the only beach airport anywhere to be used for scheduled airline services, which began on 7 August 1936. We travel by boat to the Isle of Barra, the jewel that is almost at the foot of the Western Isles archipelago. Most visitors to Barra will find themselves in the village of Castlebay sooner rather than later and that is where we land. The village wraps around Castle Bay with its island castle.
