The surprisingly extensive ruins of St Blane's Church near the southern end of the Isle of Bute. The church fell into disuse after the Reformation and most of the remains of the nave and the chancel you see today date back to the 1100s. We have a new blackbird hanging around our garden, and Mr Fig&Pen is putting lots of dried worms out for him every day in the hope he'll stick around and become our friend.
