Klarer Fall für also:

JJJJ MM TT HH MM SS

( )

I have started to change the timestamp format site wide.
You can see the impact on the UAV page at the moment. (Started in a quiet corner of the site).
Its pretty clear how the different timestamp is going to cause some issues for a good number of days/weeks.
No pain no right?

Leider geht das in Calc völlig anders. Nicht dieselben Funktionen, keine Möglichkeit, das Datum normgerecht zu formatieren.

Übrigens sollte das normgerechte Datumsformat nach DIN/ISO überall voreingestellt sein.

reasons to use EDTF - open standard. 8601 is behind a paywall, which is why most people learn about it from vendor docs, not the standard itself.

What kind of fundraising raffle prizes are normal in other countries?

Because in the the USA, there are so many guns, that a $20 USD raffle ticket gives you a chance to win a gun 31 days of the year.

And somehow... this is 'normal' enough that its casually posted on Facebook.

NOTE: Winners must claim prize In D/MM/YY date format

@VE2UWY Is there an OS with a built-in feature that will let you do a two-line date and time in the menu bar like this since a single line would be ridiculously wide?

(The point of ’ two-line menu bar clock is to show multiple time zones, but I thought this might be a good way to get what @randomgeek wants without taking up too much space)

Just realised something I though was tomorrow (23rd of the month) is actually next week. I think I misread dd/mm/yy (UK style) as yy/mm/dd (big endian).

For context, I like and use style -mm-dd dates, familiar to computer people as they sort chronologically, and people who've lived in Japan as they use that order.

I strongly dislike dates written with two digit years. You can probably guess, I hate the USA mm/dd/yy style with a passion.

The numerology of 3/21/23 has an obvious appeal, but only to brainwashed Americans who worship the false idol of MDY.

@Tattooed_mummy It depends on context. For anything electronic, YYYY-MM-DD (anyone doing it without punctuation in anything but a pure internal computer format, is in a state of sin).

With people, tho, obviously either DD or MM/DD or MM/DD/YYYY (depending on detail level needed) is superior. Who says "15 March" instead of "March 15"? Psychopaths, that's who.

Eurotrash format of DD`MM`YYYY is junk, it doesn't sort, and it's not a reasonable way to talk to people.

@jameswallis if Canada and the US can have different Thanksgivings, we can have a US and European pi day. But I won’t concede dd/mm is better than mm/dd, because both are inferior to .
