“We will not be shamed by anybody.”

I find it frustrating to hear these words when in reality, all that's happening is accountability.

But also because shame is, at its core, a feeling. Feelings emerge from within us and, while they can be triggered by external events, no one else can force us to feel a specific emotion. The power to feel and process our emotions lies within each of us.
