This part of #vinegarsyndrome Lost Giallo series.

With the opening murder and the choice of music during it makes this off kilter and weird, which I like.

Though the plot is common even for 1974, the mystery was engaging, the murders were shocking, the killer had motive, and there was a reveal in the end.

Bruno Mattei’s Shocking Dark (AKA Terminator II, 1989) manages to be a rip-off Aliens, Terminator and Alien. It's not so much an homage as grand larceny. Which is fine by me. I love these Italian rip-off movies and this one is great fun.

Naked Girl Murdered in the Park (1972) certainly has a title that will get your attention. It also suggests you’re about to see a giallo. It is, sort of. It's crazy enough to be a giallo.

In fact it's an Alfonso Brescia movie. He made some of the most gloriously insane movies of all time. This is one of his less crazy efforts but it's pretty enjoyable.

Directed by Pietro Francisci, 2+5: Missione Hydra is a crazy 1966 Italian sci-fi film, retitled in English as Star Pilot.

It's a kind of alien invasion movie, but the intentions of the aliens are unclear. There's a a beautiful, possibly evil, alien space babe.

The film is cheap but stylish and despite its poor reputation I loved it.

Usually I get my free heating when the sun shines through the windows but today is a no so I could happily join this fabulous sun chasing scene from Miracolo a Milano.

Miracolo a Milano was directed by Vittorio de Sica in 1951 and is a ferocious fantasy on human greed narrated with enormous empathy and humanity. It inspired the writing of Gabriel García #Márquez and #Spielberg took the flying bicycle scene and made it its own in E.T.

One of the great masterpieces of Italian #neorealism, and one of my favourite #movies of all time.
