Hm. #Microsoft just announced their new default #font, which is Bierstadt from their 5 candidate fonts (but renamed). It’s a great choice. I’ve already been using it myself.

BUT the #italic format is ATROCIOUS in Bierstadt. I hope that’s just a quirk of the candidate typeface that will be fixed in the final. It seriously looks like old-style “just slant all the characters” forced italics from 1996.

When I post stuff, sometimes I like to add #𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱 and #𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘤 formatting—the trick is to use the Unicode characters which happen to be in 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱 and 𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘤, and 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝.

My recommendation for #BandcampFridayWeek: #Italic by #LoreWeaveR. I've been going on about how awesome The River Suite is, but the entire album is pretty fantastic. The style is #ProgMetal or heavy #ProgRock, with a female singer. The band is probably defunct (their website NXDOMAINs) unfortunately.
