#ITManager No, I can't call the domain name registrar out of the blue and tell them the story about our company now owns their customer's company so can they give us the auth code to transfer because the staff who registered the domain years ago have since left, because, I suspect they'll only take instruction from the real account holder unless we get proof. So you didn't believe me and rang them out of the blue yourself because you like to prove how pushy you are in business & you had a nice chat but they revealed nothing about their client's account and requested you first try to find out who it was and contact them to arrange things instead?

Guess my #introduction is overdue. I have been an IT Manager for most of my adult life and went back to college as an older student to get my degree in #PublicHealth and #Psychology (Sigma Cum Laude...who knew?).

I have volunteered at Covid vaccine clinics and for the National Park Service. I have often worked in negative pressure rooms treating covid patients.

I currently work as a #CNA and #ITManager (weird combo, I know), intending to get into #PAschool.

Today we put a mail rule in place to block a vendor salesperson who was getting aggressively pushy. Their emails now get rejected by the server. We put them to a gladiatorial style live or die vote and change approval was swift.
If I engage you in good faith and you do nonsense and venue shop it will end badly for you.
Best part? Turns out this wasn’t even the first one to gain the honor or a personal block. There was already a mail flow in place for exactly this. I added a line in the change log.

Time for my #introduction

I've been in the IT field since 2002 but have been a nerd since I got my first computer in 1987. I've done a lot over the years, #sysadmin, #itmanager, #sqladmin, #webhosting and so much more. These days I manage #m365 along with assisting with much more. Spare time is filled with #camping, #selfhosting, #family and #gaming.
