After more than a year of using Bitwarden via my self-hosted instance, a friend of mine decided to also buy a Bitwarden Family license. Primary reasons were the ability to share passwords, use attachments and configure emergency access. Imported the license in my installation and after a quick walk-through of the features, he was good to go.

The reason why one should configure Emergency access is a topic no-one really wants to talk about, but once it is setup, it really gives you a peace of mind.

Had issues the whole day with internet connectivity. Thought it was my ISP, as on their website it said there was maintenance ongoing in the area.

After long analysis it appeared to be the gateway monitoring IP of my WAN interface in pfSense. Was using 9.9.9.9 but apparently they were having issue somehow (saw around 30% loss in the WAN gateway). Changed it to 1.1.1.1 and connectivity was immediately restored.

No fun when working from home and had to perform maintenance myself at work. Luckily mobile coverage is very good in the area, so hotspotting saved the day.

Upgraded to Ubuntu Budgie 23.04 from 22.10. Smooth sailing except for Firefox. For some reason version 111 was bundled and therefore Firefox would not load it's profile (which was based on the previously already installed version 112). A "snap revert firefox" reverted back to version 112 and no more issues from there.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab3 laying around which I have running in flight mode, as a) Android 4.4 is not supported anymore and b) I do not want to connect to Google. I looked at /e/OS as alternative OS, but there is no image for the Galaxy Tab3. Does anyone have an alternative build which is privately friendly and still supported for this old device, so I can connect it to the internet in a safe way?

I have seen a video in the past of a guy who wrote a program for a windows system with lots of CPUs, where he sort of could show a "video" by bringing CPUs to 100% to activate this as a "pixel". Can't find it anymore. Does someone has a link to this?

Been a long day with up at 3am to be at the office by 4 to manage a controlled shutdown of our systems due to transformer replacement work in our area.
