With Mullvad ending support for port forwarding I decided to give @ivpn a shot, and so far it's been good.

No logs/tracking ✅
Port forwarding ✅
Wireguard config generator ✅

They appear to have everything I liked about Mullvad with a few other niceties like automagically managing/rotating wireguard keys.

#IVPN ivpn.net is slightly more expensive at $6 a month but the price drops is you pay for a longer period of time.

I do not have first-hand experience with ivpn.

The second is #IVPN. Creating a new account is anonymous as well. However, this service is almost twice as expensive if you want to use port forwarding and multi-hop. And I've heard it has fewer services and devices limit than Mullvad. 3/5

2/2 Unfortunately, the openvpn hangs quite a bit, so I prefer the ivpn app for openvpn as it handles network changes seamlessly. For wireguard, both apps work equally well, so I resort to the wg app as it has the shortcut thingy.

I've learned why wireguard isn't the best solution in terms of privacy, so depending on the work I'm doing, I'll switch between the two solutions.

I'm definitely staying with #ivpn 😃

1/2 Update on the #ivpn trial: I like it 😀 unlike the nordvpn app which keeps crashing after 5 seconds on #lineageos, the ivpn app is nice but unfortunately doesn't have the "status menu shortcut" thingy. For this reason, I wanted to use the official #openvpn and #wireguard apps connecting to their servers. That was easy to setup, IVPN even gives full explanations on its website! So happy they are not just wanting you to use their app!
