It’s crazy that TCL/Roku TVs will blink the front light frantically if you change your Wi-Fi password, so you’re forced to connect them even when you don’t use their system. Outside of not being able to just use those tvs without connecting them to an account and them being online during initial setup, I saw them inserting their own UI on top of other streaming boxes that are connected to get people to click.
