More #IXPs is great! Bring it on! In the amercias south of the US border this situation is not good.

I've sort of lost patience with the #communitynetworks narrative. The only place from where I can approach that conversation now, is one that firmly places the #internet as a corporate/telco $$$ and state #propaganda (think hollywood x 1000) project. From there we can actually talk about why that happened and how to combat it. Otherwise, you're just bringing clients to fcbck,

Grants of up to USD $50,000 are available for those building or improving #IXPs as well as champions of #peering across their regions.

@chad and the entire mstdn.ca team are doing a stellar job given the challenge to have the service levels adjusted given the unprecedented interest and demand to use #mastodon. Attacks, harassment and abuse - in my view - is not something to be tolerated. Hopefully @cira #ixps and other #canada internet/hosting/cloud service providers can donate experts, time & infrastructure to grow and keep mstdn.ca stay up, community lead, and be an example of #canada diversity & tolerance.
