I'm totally delighted that my local #WestCork TD #HollyCairns is set to be the new leader of the #SocDems. I know Holly to be a genuinely ethical individual who gets it. Even though I don't support the idea of a party based political system (is having a competition for who gets to run the country actually a good idea?) I think that Holly brings something new and fresh to #Irish #Politics, and I wish her every success. I wonder is she our #Jacinda or #Nicola?

I take my hat off to #nicolasturgeon, what a resignation speech & a talented politician. Both she and #Jacinda Adherne doing what women do best, being honest about when it’s time to relinquish the reigns and balance with their own wellbeing. An excellent & principled role model.
