One of my favorite books of the years was "The Midnight Line" by Lee Child. It's a Jack Reacher novel. And in that book, Jack is portrayed as a being well-over 6 feet tall.

I also enjoyed both Tom Cruise movies, where he played an under 6 foot tall Jack Reacher.

But the current TV Jack Reacher, Alan Ritchson, was the best choice for playing Jack Reacher.

You can't go wrong watching the series or the movies.

we’re on the 3rd season of the original Mission: Impossible. I find it quite sad that Peter Lupus had aged out of the Jack Reacher role by the time it rolled around. he would have needed some facial makeup to get the broken nose, etc. but he would have kicked ass in the part.

no diss on Tom Cruise, who’s done some excellent work, but he just isn’t the hulking, ham-sized fists fella that Reacher is.

that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Amazon's Reacher season 1 was pretty entertaining for a.action thriller. The last episode though... Every terrible 80s action movie trope.

I'm sure the ending of the book 'The killing floor' was much more subtle.

Finished reading No Plan B, by Lee and Andrew Child last night. The latest Jack Reacher novel - it feels quite different. The narrative felt hard to focus on - there are a lot of characters and it feels not a great deal of mystery.

I think perhaps my tastes have changed over the years and it might be time to retire this series from my regular reading lists.
